About PowerVisa.

Thirty years of U.S. family-based immigration practice — and a specialty in expedited naturalization for the spouses of citizens working abroad.

Theodore C. Olsen founded Olsen Law Firm PC in 2005, doing business as PowerVisa. He has practiced U.S. immigration law for 30 years, focused almost entirely on family-based matters — spouse and fiancé visas, parent, child, and sibling visas and green cards, and naturalization with a particular focus on INA 319(b) expedited naturalization.

A member of the Colorado bar and of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2005, Theodore built the practice from a neighborhood firm serving immigrant families in Summit and Boulder County into a worldwide referral practice. Clients on six continents have hired Theodore to bring family members home, with cases at U.S. consulates around the world.

A particular focus is INA 319(b) expedited naturalization — U.S. citizenship for the lawful permanent resident spouses of U.S. citizens working abroad in qualifying employment with the U.S. government, U.S. research institutions, U.S. firms engaged in foreign trade, public international organizations, or religious missions. It is a narrow corner of the Immigration and Nationality Act, and one Theodore has handled often enough to do quickly and well.

Theodore earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1992 from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Kansas University. He is licensed to practice before all United States immigration agencies — USCIS, ICE, EOIR, DOS, and the NVC — and at U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide.

How I work
