Expedited U.S. citizenship for spouses of citizens working abroad.
Section 319(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act solves a concrete problem: a green-card holder married to a U.S. citizen assigned abroad may be able to naturalize without waiting for ordinary continuous residence or physical presence β if the U.S. citizen spouse has qualifying overseas employment, and the applicant intends to reside abroad with the spouse after naturalization.
- Lawful permanent resident. You hold a green card. Not yet an LPR? We can help with that too.
- Married to a U.S. citizen.
- Qualifying employment abroad. Your spouse is regularly stationed abroad for at least one year with the U.S. government (civilian or military), U.S. government contractors, defense / aerospace / energy / engineering firms operating abroad, a U.S. research institution, a public international organization, or a religious or missionary organization.
- Intent to reside abroad. You intend to live abroad with your spouse and return to the U.S. at the end of the assignment.
